My new favorite! MORE!!! I love these people!

I rarely, if ever, call a book "favorite." How can I have favorites when there are so very many to love? But...there it is. Sigh.

While there are a few similarities to other alien abduction-falling in love with your rescuer-baby making books, this one feels different. It's as if Bethany Aan reached out and took snapshots of my heart and then set out to put it into a book. How do you describe it?

The only thing that I regret, and it's relatively minor, is there isn't much "action" per se. We see the aftermath, the devastation, but not how it came to be. These guys come from a warrior race, shouldn't they have some, I don't know, fighting? Sorry...I have a thing for a hot, sweaty, dirty, SEXY hunks. They get plenty dirty, sweaty, and hot but it's not from fighting. ;)

The descriptions are fascinating, but the author takes it more in the direction of society building rather than world building. Everybody is adjusting to a different planet than where they came from, but integrating different beliefs and people is more important. Huh? A place where the PEOPLE are more important, what a concept! lol

I'm anxious to find out if there will be a second or third book as suggested.

I would give this book a 4.5 & was ecstatic to have stumbled upon it. It's a good story it's got a little action some suspense love (plenty of steamy times included). I love that we get a story where both parties are aliens and they get to create a new world together. Jace & hunter just yes give me more. I can't wait to get to see how things play out so excited I can hardly wait for the next book. I'm hoping we get to keep with these characters and don't flop out of their p.o.v.s before certain things come to fruition. I ft like we get an hearts for now and like I said can't wait to see what comes next! If you like science fiction ,aliens, paranormal, romance or suspense give this book a read it really seems to have a little something for everyone. It definitely pulled at my heart strings at moments as well because while being sci-fi it kept enough threads to reality where it seemed like it could actually happen. So give it a read I'd definitely recommend
I find this book hard to put down as I enjoyed the writing of Bethany Aan. She is an excellent writer who put a lot of effort to create this book. The characters of the story, the finite details of the botany on a unfamiliar planet, the attention to survival and living in harmony with sentient beings, the importance of communications between two different races from two different worlds stranded on Ishira, the acceptance and adopting the belief systems of both worlds together in agreement, the medical expertise to familiar themselves with the physiology of the earth human bodies to help them adapt to the new environment and with their Thorani race and the blending of gifted telepathic communications between one female human leader and the Thorani leader are many of her writing skills that she placed within this book. The story plot makes me ponder about the world that we live in, living in unfamiliar territories, improve the quality of new life, and be in harmony to respect all belief systems therein. Excellent Book to read....quite enlightening and enjoyable to read.
I discovered this author through recommendations from other authors' book lists (Naomi Lucas and Amanda Milo). I couldn't have been more pleased and excited about this book. Fans of The Melier by Poppy Rhys and Venomous by Penelope Fletcher would enjoy this immensely! I know I am left wanting more! The interactions between the main and even secondary characters was believable as I could realistically see this happening if that type of event were to occur (this IS Sci Fi people). The romance and sex scenes are hot but not overdone. The storyline pulls you in and kept me riveted from beginning to end. There IS a storyline and not just a lukewarm plot surrounding sex scenes. I do love erotica sci fi and this definitely satisfies without it being the entire book. I read some reviews stating the book was too long. I completely disagree. Yes, this book is a little longer but I can't see it being shortened without sacrificing parts of the story as a whole. This author has a story to tell and I for one want to read the whole thing!
